In December 2010, the UOM Trust (http://www.uomtrust.ac.mu/) – a charitable trust set up by the University of Mauritius – incorporated a private company called UOM Enterprise. UOM Enterprise is registered with the Tertiary Education Commission of Mauritius as a post secondary educational institution, and offers courses in Law and Project Management in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). Since 2011, UCLan has been collaborating with the UOM Trust for the delivery of an LLM in International Business Law which has been highly praised by students and the professional law community in Mauritius. In 2012, UOM Enterprise signed an agreement with UCLan for the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. UCLan, which is the degree awarding body, has the overall responsibility with regard to the maintenance of academic and quality assurance standards.
