The University of Adelaide offers Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) to attract high quality international postgraduate students.

The scholarship includes full coverage of course tuition fees, a stipend (AUD $27,596, 2019), and allowances like overseas student health cover etc.

The scholarship is awarded for two years for a Master’s degree by Research and three years for a Doctoral research degree (an extension is possible for doctoral programs only),

Eligibility

• Applicants must have successfully completed at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honours degree
• They must not hold a research qualification regarded by the University of Adelaide to be equivalent to an Australian Research Doctorate degree or, if undertaking a Research Masters degree, not hold a research qualification regarded by the University of Adelaide to be equivalent to or higher than an Australian Research Masters degree.
• Must provide evidence meeting the University of Adelaide’s minimum English language proficiency requirements.
• Successful recipients must commence study at the University of Adelaide in the semester the scholarship is offered. It is not possible to defer the award.
• International applicants are not eligible if they have already commenced the degree for which they are seeking an award.
• Applicants who have applied for Australian permanent residency status, but have not yet received an outcome, can apply.

Application

Application must be submitted online ‘Admission and a Scholarship’ before 31 August 2019 for 2020 intake.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their scholarship application in early November 2019.
