The LLM International Business Law programme offers you the opportunity to develop knowledge and insight of modern business law with an international perspective. This programme will facilitate the refinement of your expertise, analytical thinking and reflective skills. Through studying a wide range of specialist modules you will be able to develop your academic ability and develop your career in a way that can contribute to the wider global and national community and study of international business law.

Modules you may elect to study can provide you with further accreditations and eligibility to join reputable organisations. For example, the International Commercial Arbitration module if passed will grant you eligibility for Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, allowing you to use the post-nominal letters ACIArb after your title. This qualification is the first stage towards becoming a chartered arbitrator. International Commercial Mediation similarly offers professional benefits as Lancashire Law School has achieved an international reputation for our specialisation in mediation law and practice. Our module is approved by the Civil Mediation Council, and so provides you with respected and valuable skills and experience. This course is available to those with legal and non-legal backgrounds, with postgraduate students joining with law or business undergraduate experience or professionals joining with legal or commercial industry experience. A bachelor degree with Honours at lower second class or above or a professional qualification deemed to be degree equivalent. International applicants are also required to provide evidence of English Language competence and an IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent).
