The LLB (Hons) with English and Mauritian Law is a Qualifying Law Degree for the purpose of practice in both England & Wales and Mauritius. It enables you to go on to the professional stages of legal training in England & Wales; either by way of the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) for barristers, or the Legal Practice Course (LPC) for those wishing to become a solicitor (for practice in England & Wales only). It is also recognised by the Council for Vocational Legal Education (CVLE) in Mauritius for admission onto the vocational examination conducted under the supervision of the CVLE. This LLB will give you a detailed understanding of both English and Mauritian law and legal systems equipping you with employability skills relevant to a broad range of disciplines and countries. The programme is aimed specifically at those students who wish to work in an environment such as Mauritius where English and Mauritian law are combined.
BBC at A-Level or equivalent with ‘O’ level Maths, English and French grade C.
