BSc (Hons) Multimedia Computing
The Multimedia Computing course combines the technical skills of a computing degree with the creative thinking required of a multimedia course. The course provides students with the varied challenges of technical professionals in the assorted media industries. It is expected that Multimedia students develop transferable skills that can be applied to a number of computing subject areas across private and public sectors.
Key competencies developed by the BSc (Hons) Multimedia Computing include skills in technical media production, web development, critical analysis, application of theories and concepts to real-world scenarios, localisation and digital literacy. The course shares a common computer science strand with other computing courses, with specialist modules at each level in the following areas:

Graduating students have a number of career options due to the broad nature of the course. The leading employment sector is web technologies, but jobs in Human-Computer Interaction, video and animation are also viable options.
