BSc Economics and Finance

The primary purpose in establishing this program is to provide learning opportunities for people who:  

  • wish to obtain an economic reasoning , quantitative skills and institutional knowledge to solve practical problems arising in finance 
  • wish to combine in-depth studies in economics and finance 

Exams

UoL/LSE exams will take place every year once during the May/June Period and examination will be conducted in MES – students have to make their arrangement with MES

Intake

Start date of courses: August of each year 
Application deadline: July of each year 

Entry requirements

normally be at least 17 years old and have either passes in: 

  • Two subjects at GCE ‘A’ level, plus at least three further subjects at GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level at Grade C or above OR 
  • Three subjects at GCE ‘A’ level (with one ‘A’ level at not less than grade D) OR 
  • Three subjects at GCE ‘A’ level and one further subject at GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level at Grade C or above OR 
  • Two subjects at GCE ‘A’ level, plus two further subjects at GCE ‘AS’ level AND 
  • Demonstrate competence in Mathematics at least equivalent to GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level at Grade C or above AND 
  • Provide proof of competence in English which is acceptable to the University. 
  •  A test of proficiency may be required

For Graduate Entry Route 

  • In addition to the qualifications listed here, they must hold a full first degree completed in a minimum of three years duration on a full time basis (or equivalent) from a university or other institution acceptable to the University of London. 

Note: If you hold a professional and/or postgraduate qualification without a full first degree, applicant cannot be considered for admission to the Graduate Entry Route.

Note: UoL accept many other qualifications, both from the UK and overseas, as satisfying our entrance requirements.
