The Open Learning LL.B (Hons) programme is designed to provide students with a Qualifying Law Degree that gives exemption from the academic stage of legal education to become a solicitor or barrister. Upon completion of the degree, you may apply to join the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC), which are the vocational training courses that must be undertaken to become a solicitor or barrister.
Duration of the course: The LLB (Hons) Open Learning programme is a 4-6 year programme.
Fees : Around Rs155,000 per year.
Fees are payable as you progress rather than as a single lump.
The programme is open access and is designed to encourage wider access to those who do not have traditional educational qualifications. Applicants must be able to show a high level of motivation, discipline and the necessary intellectual ability required to complete the degree programme. This may be demonstrated by:
– Relevant experience, e.g. work, community activities
– Formal educational qualifications.
